The Nike Vapor Fly Driver is the latest instalment of the Vapor range for 2016. There are three models in the new Fly line up which includes the Nike Fly, Fly Pro and Flex Drivers.
This all started when the Nike R&D team spent some time with Rory. In the session Rory explain that he required more distance from his equipment, so he could focus more on controlling the golf ball. The end result being one of the longest, forgiving and most aesthetically pleasing drivers that Nike have ever produced. Hence why it didn't take long for Rory to equip the Pro model in his golfing arsenal.
A very modern approach by Nike Golf, with the visually contrasting blue and yellow design. The technology is very impressive also with lots of weight saving innovations that help increase club head speed. This includes a 30% lighter and thinner crown than the previous Vapor Driver. This weight saving allowed for 5 grams to be moved to the rear of the driver, resulting in the CG location being moved lower in the head for a higher launch and more forgiveness.
Higher ball speeds have been achieved with an astonishing Hyperflight face which is 25% thinner than previous models, giving the driver face faster ball speeds across the face. The range is very forgiving also with the highest MOI being ever achieved, resulting in the 460cc driver playing like it should be a 475cc head.
- FlyBeam Covert Cavity back design to make the driver more stable.
- Adjustable FlexLoft allowing for lofts between 8.5 - 12.5 degrees.
- Highest MOI ever achieved.
